Book Review: This book changed my life as a Chi Gung master and healer Summary: 5 StarsThis book helped me create the kind of body I need to save lives. As one of the world's leading practitioners of Two-Spirit Shamanism and Chi Gung, as well as being an author (Chi Gung: Chinese Healing, Energy, and Natural Magick), I've found that in my line of work it is vital that I build my body to it's peak perfection. I specialize in using the bodies energy (called Chi in Chinese) to help work with and heal plants, animals, and people. Using this energy (it is related to Tai Chi, Accupuncture and Yoga - and for those of you who lift weights, you could think of it as the pump - only in this case, you not only use it to build muscle but also to increase your health and to even heal others), I have successfully worked with cases involving migraines, insomnia, infertility, severe trauma, strokes, paralysis, and even ovarian cancer. By developing my body, I have been better able to guide my bodies Chi as well as the Chi around me so that I can use it for healing not only myself but others. In addition, Arnold's exercises have helped me to gain a stronger awareness of all of my muscles which I then have been able to mentally guide Chi to in order to make them not only larger and stronger but also more relaxed for energy transference. Arnold's book is truly wonderful and we all are all very blessed to have such a man as a teacher, a role model, and an author.Reading Arnold's book can change your life. It sure has changed mine and it has helped me to become the woman I am today. Using this wonderful book has enabled me to make a difference in not only my own life but also in the lives of those who need help.
Book Review: Diversity is beautiful Summary: 4 StarsWell, here goes. What I am amazed off is that if you read through the multitude of responses to this book. The methods that Arnold are putting out work for some and not for others. Scientific research has shown that it takes 6days of full rest for a muscle to grow, so why can some people go in and train twice a day and still gain muscle and others can't. Well were all different that's why. I am 6ft 6in, I have a difficult time gaining weight. When I do leg press, people come up to me (guys that are 5ft) and tell me, you should lower the weights all the way down, get your knees down to ears. But that simply isn't the correct way to train for my size and my length. I might be doing it right according to their ideas and understanding, but would never work out the muscles intended. I think anyone who lift weights, has to be in touch with the feeling of the muscle and whatever works for you is what you should go for. If Arnolds methods work for you great, if they don't well experiment try it out. Be a bit innovative, don't expect everything from a book. Use your head and find out for yourself, that's how the bodybuilders of the past found out about it. Mike Mentzer disagrees with Arnold and scientist disagree with Mike Mentzer. It's fine. Leave the discussions to others and hit the gym and find out for yourself. If you need a book to get you started great, but don't rely on it. Rely on your body to tell you whats right, experiment.
Book Review: The Bible of Modern Bodybuilding! Summary: 5 StarsI am 15 years old and bought this book when I was 14. Since then I have gained nearly a stone of muscle, only from reading this book and following Arnie's instructions. Yes, Arnie did take steroids, but that was in the 70s and 80s when there was no knowledge of the side effects, he explains this and so his workouts are for natural bodybuilding so really the other people who reviewed sould look at the book and get their facts right. I have been doing his beginners routine for about 8 months, and that is how I have got my gains so far. I have looked at loads of other books and tried workouts from my trainers and these ones in the book are the best. If you want gains get this book, I mean you can't go wrong with someone that has won Mr. Olympia 7 times.
Book Review: Ahead of his time........... Summary: 5 Stars...In the world of bodybuilding Arnold goes down as a legend.... Obviously there are things in the book which are going to be outdated, just as things we believe today may be proved detrimental in the future. The fact remains that this book provides much useful information for aspiring bodybuilders and provides an insight into some of the methods used by the top bodybuilders almost 20 years ago.Without the likes of Arnold, the world of bodybuilding would be a long way behind where it is now.
