Book Reviews of The No-Cry Sleep Solution: Gentle Ways to Help Your Baby Sleep Through the NightBook Review: Sleep Deprived No More! Summary: 5 StarsWhat a fabulous book. After weeks of waking every two hours and my 6 month old son not napping during the day, this book saved me from the abyss! Implementing some of Elizabeth's solutions were easy and not having to go through the horror of letting my son "cry it out", as was suggested to me over and over again, was really a godsend. In 10 short days, I went having a baby who slept for about 8.5 hours per day to one who is sleeping 14-15 hours per day, 11 at night and 3-4 hours of naps during the day. We are both happier and healthier and I feel re-energized and excited about getting up in the morning. This book has helped me to become a more attentive, more focused mom who's a lot more fun! I can't recommend this book highly enough...especially to those moms and dads who don't want to make their sweet little ones cry it out. Try this! It works!
Book Review: Incredible Summary: 5 StarsThis book was written just for me, Im sure. It deals with lots of issues but mostly its about gradually removing all your baby's "crutches" to help him to sleep, ie. going to sleep without a feed, a dummy, a backrub etc. because once he can do that he can get himself back to sleep in the middle of the night too. It is like a 6 step program - removing yourself from the equation one step at a time. I really wish Id had this earlier on, but I didnt discover it until my daughter was 14 months old - and still waking 8 times a night! Its one of the few books that can help when the problem has been going on so long. My daughter now sleeps through without fail! Its bliss.
Book Review: Really Good! Summary: 5 StarsThis one of the best books I bought about babies. If you read it attentively and if you try to follow the advice given by the author you will achieve really good results in getting your child to sleep better. The book is easy to read and I recommend it every parent whose children don't sleep properly during the day or at night. I struggled to put my son to bed for a nap for more than a year. He would either sleep in my arms or by the breast. Now with the help of this book we worked out a convenient routine for us and we stick to it. We also managed to create correct sleep associations. As a result my 14 months old son goes to sleep for a 2-hour nap without any complaints but with a smile on his face. He falls asleep within 2 minutes. His night sleep has also become significantly better and we still keep working on it. There are also some black forms in the book you can fill. I didn?t bother to do that but attentive reading is more than enough. The main idea of the book is to help parents create the correct sleep associations for their children and to teach them fall asleep by themselves.
Book Review: Calm, kind and wonderful! Summary: 5 StarsI am a Health Visitor and a mother of two and rate this book very highly. A must have for calm, considerate in-tune parents. A wonderful contrast to aggressive sleep training programmes.
Book Review: no crying, peaceful sleeping Summary: 5 StarsMy daughter Ellyse had always been a great sleeper until at 8 months oldwe went on holidays and moved house all within a few months and so herroutine was thrown out the window! My husband or I had to lie down withher to get her to go off to sleep and we found this frustrating as it wastaking up a lot of our time together. I tried controlled crying and Ithink Ellyse, Jason and I were equally distressed. I couldn't stand tohear my beautiful, cheerful and normally placid daughter so worked up, itwas horrible. I discovered the No-Cry Sleep Solution by Elizabeth Pantley advertised onthe Essential Baby website and found the soothing methods offered to bothMother and Baby to be invaluable. Ellyse now goes to sleep by herself andwakes up 12 hours later refreshed and ready to take on the world. I lookforward to bedtime now and I am sure Ellyse does too. thanks again Elizabeth for helping us teach our babies to feel safe andsecure at bedtime!
