Book Reviews of The NotebookBook Review: The Notebook Summary: 5 StarsWhat a book!! Like all of the other reviews I feel as if I have been on loves rollercoaster - so real, so emotional, so happy, so intense. What a lovely story, trouble is now I have to read something else that good! I can't wait to get the film and really hope it's as good as the book? I'm not sure how the actors will be portrayed but am hoping that we feel when watching the film how we feel when reading the book. It's almost like reading someone's diary and knowing their secrets - truly excellent, I will now have to read some more books by Nicholas Sparks, and hopefully won't feel like bursting into tears when reading!
Book Review: The Notebook Summary: 5 StarsThis book is brilliant. I had a lump in my throat and cried throughout! Wanting to know if Allie would ever see Noah again, how might their paths cross, and the love that she would always have for him. I had hoped that the film would have been as good as the book, but have to say that I was a little disappointed in with the film, that hasnt stopped me buying it though.
Book Review: Nicholas Sparks strikes again Summary: 5 StarsWow, once again Nicholas Sparks captures your heart in this story of young love. I saw the film before i read the book, but both had my feeling all kinds of emotions. From happiness, to sadness and back again. The story of Noah and Ali truely makes me believe that everyone out there has a true love. no matter how old you are.
Book Review: Tissues needed... Summary: 5 StarsThis is a fabulous story, restoring the faith that true love is out there. I read the book after having seen the film (usually I prefer to do it the other way round) but I wasn't disappointed in either, on the contrary. I saw the film in the cinema and was relieved when I heard other sobs behind me - its not just a tear jerker but a heart breaker. I loved every minute of it and hope that everyone reads the book and sees the film, but do make sure you have tissues to hand, you would require a heart of stone not to be drawn in by the story!
Book Review: Splendid Summary: 5 StarsI had heard about the movie because my friend had seen it. She said she wept like a baby!! I like to read the book first and then see what Hollywood does to it. (Lets think about the ending to Horse Whisperer on the silver screen?!) All in all this book is poignant. Noah is a man YOU would want to be your lover & husband. I have an image of how he looks in my minds eye. I cried reading the book. I can sense a box of Kleenex for the dvd I now would like to watch.
