I purchased The Nutcracker as a holiday gift for a young niece who is the magical age of seven. Her parents shared that it is her favorite bedtime story this holiday season. My own daughter, now grown, enjoyed the ballet each Christmas time as a child and The Nutcracker brought back beautiful memories of those special times we shared. Not only is this editon beautifully written, the illistrations are in a word, magical. I would recommend this little treasure to all little girls and the little girls within each of at any age! I plan to purchase it for second niece next holiday season.
