Book Review: This Author Has Already Been Discredited - Tabloid Writer

The Presidential election is just around the corner and now we are subjected to a "writer" who is most famous for writing falsehoods about politicians. This 'author' has already been discredited by previous writings of falsehoods and 'fiction', most notably his book on John Kerry. Problem is, this piece of work presents nothing interesting, factual or new. Its not even fun, freaky, fake facts! Actually, it is so full of falsehood; the Obama campaign has been able to simply disprove every single negative allegation very easily. However, some people will believe anything they read, and in America, we all know, that can be a problem for those who trust.
Obama's campaign says the book is full of factual inaccuracies that include: the wrong date for the Obamas' marriage, that Obama is currently using drugs like marijuana and cocaine, that Obama was raised with an Islamic education, that Obama wants to weaken the military and more easily disproven allegations. Corsi states that he doesn't need to prove anything. Well, I guess anyone can print fiction and call it non-fiction.
Publisher Mary Matalin of Simon & Schuster states, "It (the book) was not designed to be, and does not set out to be, a political book." Simon & Shuster also refused to validate any of the books sources and extensive footnotes, claiming there were 'just too many'. These footnotes almost exclusively are referenced to blogs and other fictional, unreliable sources. Why is this book selling so fast? Its an old conservative trick. Various conservative right-wing organizations hunt or push for these books and then buy them in quantity to get them on the best seller list immediately. The books are then distributed to members. No, its not illegal, but is it ethical?
"The Obama Nation" is actually a twist on the word abomination. Now is that very clever or juvenile? Not only that, but Corsi's book contains what most people would consider offensive language in regards to racial ancestry in Obama's family history. In fact, Corsi states this about his `facts': "I don't need more," he said. "I'm putting this question forward. I'm putting the evidence forward. Voters can make up their own minds." It should be duly noted that Corsi writes for World Net Daily, a conservative Web site whose lead headline Thursday, August 7th was "Astonishing photo claims: Dead Bigfoot stored on ice." That's laughable. I hope this review was able to save you some hard earned dollars. If anything, it might help world citizens understand the horrific extents some political parties will go to for thier own selfish agenda.
However, if you want to read some positive, inspiration work, try, "The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream". Almost always, an uplifting outlook far surpasses a negative, depressing divisive tome.
