I myself am not one of the greatest readers in history. On my recent holiday I decided to read a book, the 1st one for 3 years, so as I read the description of The Ohmen it sounded interesting. The story of the son of Satan being born in human form to a well known political family caught my attention as it seems so unrealistic but the book made it real. The story tells how the bible foretold these events and this made it even more belieavable as the words came straight from the bible. The story bases the story on the upbringing of Damien the devils child and his parents which his father happens to be the next in line for the United States president and the mother is slowly turning mad. It tells the story of how the birth of Damien slowly destroys lives of the people around him. I enjoyed this book very much as it's very into philosophy and the existence of God and the Devil. This makes you think about not only the world in the book but the world around you. This actually causes you to read further on as the book begins to tense up and become more exciting. The story itself is pretty scary and at sometimes can be gruesome which adds even more excitment to the book. Overall an extremely good read but now i'm trying to find the sequal which is probably deffinately worth a read after reading The Omen. Excellent
