Book Review: "Eric You Done Good Man"

Newbies, if you haven't picked up this EJD book- go out and get it. If you're a EJD fan all I can say is "Are you freaking kidding Me?" This was an excellent read. I remain a fan. What I really liked is that Dickey tried something different and wrote from a woman's prospective. That's really digging down deep - funky deep as a writer; and he pulled if off. I felt the injured wife's fury, indecision, fears, and curiosity. I was brought into the world of two hurt souls and the mess they even created amongst themselves. As a reader I love to feel the human emotions of others. I related to some, disagreed with others but strongly felt them all.
Though sometimes I found the plot moving along a little slowly, I never wanted to make a run for it. It was indeed an emotional ride into adultery, consequences and human need. I enjoyed the closeness between the injured wife and her girlfriend. I certainly wasn't prepared for the exciting and surprise ending. A must read indeed!
