Book Review: A wonderful adventure

This second of the Caspak novels gets rolling from the very beginning with some really fun stuff like pterodactyls fighting biplanes, a rescue mission from civilization all rigged out to enter a prehistoric lost island like in King Kong. Devoid of the long first part of the first novel which takes place out to sea, the full panoply of Burrough's entertainingly dangerous island is put on full display. The claustrophobic aura of constant menace and foetid flora are wonderfully done. If you like dinos this is for you. Naturally a love story in in the center of it all and at the climax, one surfaces from a humid and close danger into fresh air.
