Book Reviews of The Perks of Being a WallflowerBook Review: Review Summary: 3 Stars"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is a book about the highlights and downs of the life of a teenage boy named Charlie. In the book Charlie describes his first highschool year in letters to an unknown person. Often it is not easy for him, because he has to manage his first dates and other problems like the fact that his best friend Michael
killed himself.
You see the author Stephen Chbosky writes about a lot of serious themes so if you like fantasy books like Harry Potter you wouldn't like it, but if you like stories about the "real" life" you will probably like it.
In my opinion it is a book which should bee read by a lot of teenagers older than the age of 12, because often you can identify with the main character Charlie. In the middle of the book it is a little bit boring to read so you have to push yourself to read on.
But all in all I would say that the author made a good job.
Book Review: A review Summary: 4 StarsThe book "Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky is about a 16-year-old boy called Charlie who tries to deal with the difficult situations of a teenager.
He had many problems and he thinks about a lot of things like love, relationships, death and the reason of life.
To show someone his feelings he writes letters to an unknown person because in the beginning he had no one to talk with.
I've read the book with my English class and I think that this book is very good.
On the first pages it was very difficult for me to understand what and why Charlie writes something but then I read on and felt with Charlie's feelings and understood him.
Sometimes it is very important to have someone with whom you can talk about all the things which harass you and I think Charlie is in a situation in which he really needs someone to talk with and I think the letters to the unknown person were very helpful.
Besides, it's very interesting to see how other people deal with problems or situations which you know or which you experienced yourself.
Maybe you can learn for your life from Charlie's decisions or mistakes.
I think this book is very, very good because with it you can have an insight into the different chapters in the life of a teenager.
I would recommend the book to all the people who like it to transfer themselves into other characters and feel with their feelings.
Book Review: Just a Review Summary: 4 StarsIn The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbowsky a fifteen-year-old teenage boy named Charlie writes letters to an unknown per-son, describing his life with all ups and downs.
Charlie is a shy, very emotional person and if you read his letters, you can feel what he is feeling.
He has to struggle with love, friends, parties, sexuality, drugs, as well as death.
In his freshman year at highschool he finds two new best friends, after his old best friend Michael committed suicide. In Patrick and his sister Sam he found real friends, he especially likes Sam. With the two he goes to parties, takes drugs and has a good time, but he often feels sad and cries because of the death of Michael and his aunt Helen.
I think this is a very good book for every teenager because it's about things, kids are thinking about at this age. For sure adults could read the book, too.
All in all it is a wonderful, emotional story.
Book Review: The perks of being a Wallflower Summary: 4 StarsReview
The book Perks of being a wallflower" is about a shy teenager called Charlie and he describes his life in letters to someone unknown.
He has to go to a new highschool, and has to find new friends because he doesn't know anybody else just himself.
Charlie is a special guy that's clear.
He sees things differently as the others in general he has other views which aren't bad it's actually the opposite they are interesting and let you thing about - is that what I'm doing right ?
It is interesting to read about a person who has, you could say, a dark past, and who also gets into trouble with drugs, his friends and his feelings.
I think the author Stephen Chbosky wanted the people who have read his book to see the world differently, just like Charlie does, and he wanted to make clear, that everyone should live his own life and not for the others, because that is what Charlie understands at the end. At the beginning you could get the impres-sion that this is a boring book but before the middle you start loving Charlie and just hope the best for him.
I had to read the book in my English class but it is a book which I would like to read in my free time too although it is in English.
I would recommend the book to people who like just normal stories, with situa-tions in it, which could happen in your own life as well, but which are also in-structive.
I think the book is so nice because you can compare yourself with the different persons and situations.
Book Review: review of the perks of being a wallflower Summary: 3 StarsReview of The Perks of being a Wallflower"
The book "The Perks of being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky is about a 15-year-old boy who describes his first year of highschool in let-ters. A short time before he has started writing the letters, his best friend Michael had killed himself and now he tries to find new friends. With those friends he experiences love, sexuality, drugs and alcohol.
He describes everything very honestly, that's why in the beginning I thought the book would be strange but I had to go on reading because I read it with my English class and now I am glad that I did it. I wasn't really able to identify with Charlie nevertheless in most of the situations I could understand his thoughts but although I would say that everybody who is interested in stories about real life, which surely can sometimes be a little strange, would like this book. But you shouldn't be younger than 12 years ,I think, because otherwise you would not understand eve-rything.
All in all I liked the book and I would also recommend it but some parts are a little strange so you shouldn't expect a typical love teenage story from this book.
