I was resistant to getting this book but it kept popping up as I browsed and decided to go for it since it was so highly recommended. I'm glad I did. It's really handy!
I enjoy the dimensions and feel of the book, its smallish and tidy and seems like a tough book that will be able to handle getting wet or thrown across the room (two likely scenarios with my youngin'!). I like how it is organized, the way the information is presented, easy to scan.
Its wisdom is built on many other parenting books. This is a great 'cliff notes' version of popular parenting wisdom, to remind you of what you know.
It also has these little 'take heart' sections that say 'you are not the only parent who has..." which I like because there is so much GUILT with parenting, and its nice to lighten up and feel comradarie with all the other parents out there.

This was pretty "stuffy" or "formal" for me. I guess I didn't know what I was ordering. It seems like it's designed to be a quick reference guide when you're out and about with your kids on how to respond when they are acting up. That's not practical for me. Someday I will sit down and peruse it but haven't taken the time yet.Book Review: great witty ideas
