Book Reviews of The Power of IntentionBook Review: even though i have not read this book.............. Summary: 3 StarsBut, i agree that if you think the positive way with respect to others, you will get what you've desire, i'm a buddhist, and for all these years, i pratice, inside my soul and learn and gain a lot of things that i ask to be given.......But, believe or not, if you asking something that you want, you have to think of GIVE too, this universe will received your message and arrange it. For instant, you try to plant a watermelon seed, with all the watering and time, you'll have water melon tree, it will not turn into a tomato, "what" you plant is "what" you get, and apply this thinking to your mind and start asking from your heart what you need, start of how to
GIVE them back if you received what you want, then you will start to receive what you asked for, if you do not believe it, just pratice them, you'll be amazed of this theory....
Book Review: incredible book Summary: 5 StarsActually this might be a weird thing to comment on this book but coming from a Christian viewpoint, our 'Source' is God and as I read this book, I felt like I understood how God can work in our lives if we truly see ourselves as 'spiritual beings having a temporary human experience' rather than the other way around. God has an intention for our lives and if we follow his paths, we will find ourselves living a truly fulfilling life. Looking at our 'Source' (God) as having abundance and everything we need, helped me to see that my everyday worries were just a waste of my time and effort. As long as I stayed plugged into God, I will get to exactly where I need to be going. Very positive and focused book.

Book Review: Many Depok Chopra Concepts Summary: 4 StarsThe ideas in this book are not new. The first book to discuss intention is a book titled "The Science of Getting Rich." This book was written in the late 1800's and you can find it free if you search for Science of Getting Rich .PDF.
When I first saw Dyer's program on PBS my first thought was that Mr. Dyer read Depok Chopra's books. Then in the PBS program he does acknowledge Depok as his friend.
If you want to have an "ah ha" experience read Depok Chopra's Ageless Body Timeless Mind. It is very eye opening and you will see Depok's influence on Dyer's book.
Even though Dyer's book has ideas and concepts pulled from Depok Chopra, Napolean Hill, and others it is very well done and presented in a clear manner.
Book Review: I was skeptical but here's what surprised me about this book Summary: 4 Stars I can't say that I found this to be among the best books I've read but I was surprised by how much helpful info was actually in this book. It isn't the type of self-help book I'm generally attracted to, especially with the focus on intention being a "force" in the universe.
However, Dyer uses many stories and examples that are genuinely inspiring and that compelled me to think more deeply about how I approach the world and the ways in which I treat people. I also appreciated his emphasis on reaching for health, not just emotional health, but physical health and well-being.
There were parts of the book that still struck me as overly simplistic and vague. But I still feel that there is much to be gleaned from this volume, especially when it comes to making choices that allow you to feel good, to activate positive feelings and to avoid being trapped by an overzealous ego.
