Book Reviews of The Princess Bride (Ballantine Reader's Circle)

Book Review: A fantastic adventure
Summary: 5 Stars

This story is a classic...miracles, battles, sword fighting, true love...what more could you ask for!!

Book Review: Must Read!
Summary: 5 Stars

I totally loved this book. For those of you who have watched the movie, read the book also. It is not as romantic as the movie, but it gives you a great history of what has happened, and a greater love for the story. For those of you who have not read the book, read it. You will not regret it. It is classic with true love, revenge, fencing, friendship, I don't know how to describe it but it's awesome. So is the movie, if you want just the basics.

Book Review: Read it or never know what a true story is
Summary: 5 Stars

Thank-you,thank-you,thank-you - to Amazon for helping me find the best book ever written. If you think you know it because you've seen the movie then think again(everyone knows the book is always better!). This is a book for everyone - it has love, adventure, sword-fights, puzzles, chases, action and a whole lot more. You won't put it down and you'll be constantly recommending it. Take my word for it, its one book the you will cherish forever.

Book Review: This must be the best book ever !
Summary: 5 Stars

It has the most beautiful woman in the world, and the bravest hero ever known.More romantic than Romeo and Juliet but as exciting and adventurous as Star Wars !! Its funny too.I would definitely recommend this book to every other eleven year old in the world, and all their mothers, fathers and grandparents too! Rebecca

Book Review: A classic fairytale for the child inside us all.
Summary: 5 Stars

The Princess Bride is a fabulous reworking by Goldman of a much older and longer book by S. Morgenstern. Here he presents us with an abridgement, a best part version, of a classic tale. Everything you could ever want from a fairytale is here, clifftop duels, giants, monsters, adventure, intrigue and true love. It doesn't take itself seriously, quite the reverse, as the original was meant as a scathing satire on medieval soceity, and is as much for the world weary adult as the wide eyed child, probably more so. Enjoy it, I do, everytime I pick it up.
