Book Reviews of The Promise

Book Review: Loved it!
Summary: 5 Stars

I loved this book. It was my first Danielle Steel book, and it was great. You can't help but hate his mother in the story, and you just can't put the book down. Will their love conquer all? Read it and find out!

Book Review: ONE OF MY FAV BOOK/MOVIE
Summary: 5 Stars

I HAD NEVER READ DANIELLE STEEL BEFORE; I SAW THE MOVIE FIRST, AND THEN FOUND THE BOOK. NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS CONNECTED IT WITH DANIELLE STEEL!! THE MOVIE STAYS VERY TRUE TO THE BOOK. AFTER I REALIZED IT WAS DANIELLE STEEL, THEN I STARTED READING HER OTHER BOOKS, AND WAITING FOR THE MOVIES TO FOLLOW.

Book Review: One of Her Best
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a DS fan and have read all of her novels. The Promise is one of her best works ever. You will walk with the characters through their darkest hours and will get to know them personally. A quick read and wonderful for a day at the beach or mountains.

Book Review: Run-on Sentences
Summary: 3 Stars

I read a number of Danielle Steele books a decade ago but then stopped and couldn't remember the reason. Her newest books are so badly written, I am surprised they are even published, but that was not the case back then. So I took the advise of a number of readers who loved one of her earlier books and read The Promise.

Now I remember why I stopped reading her books. Every third or fourth sentence begins with AND or BUT.

The plot was interesting but too simplistic and predictable. It had potential, but I didn't feel it lived up to it.

And I agree with the reviewers who said it was unreasonable that he didn't try to find out where his beloved was buried, nor read any accounts of the accident.

Book Review: The Best Steel
Summary: 5 Stars

This was my very first Danielle Steel book.I was 16 years old, and I remember staying up until after midnight reading it. It stands out as my favorite because it is a great book. She is the best author in my opinion out there today. I named my youngest daughter after her. I read everything and anything she puts out.She is the GREATEST!!!!!
