Book Review: The Quickie
Summary: 5 Stars

Good reading as I come to expect from Patterson. Plenty of surprises along the way will make it a memorable read.

Book Review: The Quickie by James Patterson
Summary: 4 Stars

This was another typical JP book; held my interest and was a quick read. I really enjoyed many of the twists throughout the book and, while it is by far not the best book I've read by Patterson, I did enjoy it. I purchased the book used through Amazon and am glad I got such a great price since it is such a quick book to read.

Book Review: Where were her instincts?
Summary: 4 Stars

Oh I really liked it. In the beinning I didn't care for the heroine either. Covering up that murder and all. Though I did buy into the whole, you messed around on me now I'll mess around on you type of stuff.

Yeah the characters could have been explored a bit better. We were told that she was some great detective but I just didn't see that. I figured a lot of the detective work involves your gut yet she never had any idea about her husband and his other wife and child of 5 years?? That didn't seem plausible.

Would've been nice to have seen a bit more of this "e-mail" relationship with Scott. That I can't believe that she couldn't have figured out that he was married either. Considering that they were communicating for several weeks. However they did remark that he was good at his undercover job. So maybe it is plausible. . . . nah. Got the feeling that she was better. Where were her instincts here?

Do you really think the husband wasn't messing around with that other woman at the hotel? Yeah I think he was. Was there really another job lined up or did they have to move because he murdered that cop?

It was a very intriguing book. Kept you reading page after page. I think the way it ended was about the only way it could end. He had to go or she would really, REALLY be in trouble. Maybe it would be better to hook up with her ex-partner. Perhaps she can trust him more. Yeah it was wrong for the one guy to get shot by her partner but come on. . . that guy was a very bad guy and heck his brother wasn't much better.

I will say that I kinda knew from the start that Paul didn't kill Scott because of the affair. Just seemed to be some flags there. Especially because he didn't come into the place and do her too! But I NEVER did think that he killed him for the reason that he did. I was thinking more along the lines that Paul was mixed up with the Ordonez brothers.

Book Review: Wow! Does this book suck....
Summary: 1 Stars

Awful. Totally unbelievable plot. Twists and turns are great fun, but come on...JP is just a bad writer, how this guy keeps making money off his books, I don't know. The heroine was just so lucky, nobody would read this story and think it believable, so glad I didn't spend money on this garbage. And could do without the annoying soundtrack on the audio. It actually made it worse, (if that's possible).

Book Review: a rollercoaster ride
Summary: 5 Stars

I love James Patterson books. This book was exceptional! From the start, the "Quickie" quickly turned into a fast paced plot followed by faced paced sub plots. What a ride! Patterson's best.
