Book Review: "Judge me by the enemies I have made."
Summary: 5 Stars
This is a well crafted account of one, just one, of a long list of 20th century atrocities. The value of this book may be gauged by the intensity of the campaign modern day Japanese apologists and revisionists have mounted to defame it and its late author, Iris Chang. Iris Chang (like James Yin, Shi Young, and Ron Dorfman before her) has shown a spot light on the ugliest of truths, and it is only by understanding such events, and what human beings are capable in the circumstance of war, that we can hope to quell such actions in the future. As to the book and the author's many slanderers I can only offer the words of Franklin D. Roosevelt "I ask you to judge me by the enemies I have made".
