Book Review: Amazing New Book & Author!
Summary: 5 Stars

.
Elizabeth Hoyt is a wonderful new talent. What a joy and pleasure it was to read her new book, THE RAVEN PRINCE!

In 2006, I have read over 190 books and THE RAVEN PRINCE is by far the best romance book for the year.

Once I started reading THE RAVEN PRINCE, I could not put it down until almost 3 am and it was the first thing I picked up the next day and then too soon, I was finished.

The most remarkable thing about THE RAVEN PRINCE is there was not all this whining and gnashing of teeth and padding like so many of the romance novels seem to do these days. Wow, a strong woman character who wasn't whining all the time! And an alpha-male lead character, Edward de Raaf, The Earl of Swartingham, who you could believe was actually a real person.

The book is full of interesting side characters you wanted to know more about. As in, how did Coral Smythe get the best of Mrs. Lavendar? Wouldn't you like to have been a fly on the wall during that conversation? Then you meet two of Lord Swarthingham's friends, Simon, Viscount Iddesleigh and Harry Pye. What is Simon's story? Harry, is a land steward who, I presume is the central character in Hoyt's next book?

Lastly, where is "the letter?" My bet is on Mother Wren!

What a nightmare that I am going to have to wait a whole year for Elizabeth Hoyt's next book, THE LEOPARD PRINCE. Something tells me it will be well worth wait!

Book Review: Avid Reader
Summary: 5 Stars

The first and perhaps the best of the series. A lot of story and romance as well as sizzling sex scenes. Very sensualstory and Edward and Anna are terrific together. Edward is not "perfect" as he is scarred from having small pox so this was a little more realitic too.

Book Review: Awesome Book! A keeper!
Summary: 5 Stars

Cut to the chase - the h/h were both wonderful characters. It was refreshing to have a hero that was not a physical adonis. The hero is described as ugly with smallpox scars, a big nose and thin lips (although he sure looks good on the cover). The heroine is described as sorta plain, yet the chemistry between these two was smoldering. There are alot of very funny exchanges in the book - notably with the hero and his Valet. The best part of the book is when the heroine, Mrs. Wren, goes in disguise to the bordello to intercept her man. He is going so that he can get the image of the prim, proper heroine out of his mind. Little does he know that the girl he shares such hot sex with in the bordello is actually Mrs. Wren!!!! He does however feel very conflicted about it, because he would rather be making love to Mrs. Wren. Imagine his surprise when he finds out it was actually her! Let the "swiving" begin! I read this book in one day it was sooooo good.

Book Review: Beautiful book....
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this book a few days ago on the strength of the reviews I read here and I must say I am in complete agreement with those who loved it. This is a real find...a beautiful story and at the same time incredibly hot (I gauge these books on whether they make me want to jump my husband after reading them - this was definitely a jumper!). I read it in one sitting and loved it. I recommend it highly; Ms. Hoyt is a wonderful writer. Great characters and story. I liked the fact that her hero and heroine are not the typical great-looking people of the average romance novel. Can't wait to read more from her.
