Book Review: Don't waste your time and money

I bought this book thinking I might find something new and interesting. Anything but. Mr. Pearl's overblown ego seeps into every page. I have a serious problem with his casual dismissal of all other time-tested healing modalities as passe and low-rent. Apparently only his newly discovered system has any value-- according to him, of course. Healing energy is healing energy and it ALL comes from the Universal Source. I seriously doubt that the Universe has a catagory for just plain old regular healing energy and an elevated catagory for Mr. Pearl's whiz bang super special stuff. And at the mention of "channeling" my BS meter immediately red-lines. It seems that the "channeled" information always reaffirms just how doggone special the recipient is.
As far as attending one of his over-priced seminars (which he shamelessly hawks throughout the book) to have your hands "activated", all you need do is check your brain at the door.
Mr. Pearl's lips must be blue from blowing his own horn as he makes his way to the bank with bundles of cash from his gullible disciples.
For anyone interesed in an intelligent and in-depth look at healing energy I recommend Joys Way by Brugh Joy, MD.
Book Review: Dr. Pearl's path and gift to us all

This is an easy read, his directness and passion has changed my life as I walk my soul path. He explains how we can tap into this energy to assist others and ourselves in healing mental, spiritual and physical aspects of being human. He also helps us to understand how ego may hold us back. I was guided to actually attend an oreintation in Washington, DC and met Dr. Pearl. I have taken Reconnective Healing I, II and completed "The Reconnection-Level III"
Currently practicing Reconnective Healing. Everyone can do the work.

Although I could go on and on about the wonders of this book, I will simply state that it is a MUST READ. The materials are presented humbly and in an empowering way. Clearly stated, we all can do this and it is so simply that so many won't believe. Just open yourself and try it. I loved this book. I had heard Eric Pearl on a teleconference and really felt drawn to learning more about Reconnective Healing. I was quite surprised to find that just reading the book and doing the very playful energy exercises given toward the end activated me so that I am able to open to the energy and offer effective healings to friends living thousands of miles away.
There are, of course, seminars, DVD's and so on, nevertheless, this book is an excellent way to learn about and begin to practice this wonderful new healing energy.The Reconnection

This book was both enjoyable and fascinating. Eric Pearl writes like he talks if you have ever seen him on YouTube. It didn't take me long before I found someone taught by Pearl and booked a session. You can indeed feel this energy that Eric Pearl speaks of. Read this book....you won't be dissappointed.
