I read this book last year..in stages. The reason I read it in stages is because the book kept disappearing on me and I'd find it months later and start again. After the 3rd time this happened, I decided that "losing" the book over and over was not a weird coincidence..that in fact this was how I was suppose to read it..I normally read very fast and sometimes skim over parts in my impatience to get to the end. Reading it this way gave me time to absorb what he was saying in the book. From the moment I started reading it, I started having dreams and messages sent to me. Eric Pearl mentions this in the book: You have only to TOUCH his book (as noted by other readers of his book) to experience this energy he is talking about. Reading this book is an interactive experience and a journey.
I highly recommend this book. Eric is a great writer with lots of humor and just when you have a question about what he is saying..he answers it. ** By the way..I still haven't quite finished the book..got to the last 10 pages or so, and lost it again! :)....and I never lose my books..this is a first..I actually found it last time in the back of my car in a box of items going to the thrift store..something told me (very strongly!) to take everything out of the box before I dropped it off, and there it was at the bottom of the box!)
Book Review: Excellent reading for all those interested in healing arts

Dr. Pearl's book is fascinating. It is not only a detailing of his journey in developing his reconnective healing technique but also a manual on how to develop your own skills. Like a flame, he is able to share his skill with all who read the book. He is unfailingly honest and funny and you understand the deep connection he must have with his Creator to call this healing technique forth in himself and be able to share it so freely with the world. I learned the technique as soon as I read it and found that even my kids learned it easily, better than me as a matter of fact. This is an easy to read book by an author who really wants you to heal yourself and help heal others. I don't know if it will work for everyone as easily as it did for my family but I know that our consciousness is very important in accepting, learning and using anything that comes our way. I have 4 physicians in my immediate family (tough audience) and even they have been impressed with how easy it is to learn and how helpful the technique is for healing process. You don't need to believe it works for it to work--it is tapping into a source of energy and healing that is just not explainable with our current framework of understanding in science and medicine. One day we will develop the technology to explain what most of medicine seems to relagate to the paranormal bin because they can't explain it. Just because we can't explain something, doesn't mean it doesn't exist or isn't worthwhile. We couldn't figure out how to make atomic bombs until we had the technology to understand atoms existed and that they could be manipulated. For now, it is a good healing technique that doesn't have negative side effects and defies medical explanation.Book Review: Follow the Money Trail!

I learned of Eric Pearl from a conference video series in which he was a presenter. Having studied and worked with spiritual, metaphysical teachings, and enegy healing modalities for more than 30 years, I was intrigued by his methods, although a bit put off by his satire on other healing modalities (having experienced and observed many healings over the years while working with them).
Registered for two of his seminars Level I (Reconnective Healing) and Level II (The Reconnection) and paid the $1260 fee. Level II required having sessions with a "certified practitioner to attend. The closest one was appx 150 miles away. Set up 3 appointments (over a 3-day weekend). Went for the reconnective healing session. Results? Nothing! Went for the first Reconnection Session. Results? Nothing! Same with the 2nd session -- nothing! Total cost: $90/session I; $333 for sessions II and III. Hotel/Food/Gas/Tolls, etc - well over $1,200. Since the registration fees paid earlier were "non-refundable" flew across the country for the multi-day seminars. Seminar I. Hotel Meeting Room was FREEZING cold. One of his minions spent half the day talking at us; then in waltzed Pearl -- who spent the second half of the day repeating almost verbatim what was written in his book. Again, more criticism and demeaning of every other alternative healing mode! 2nd Day -- half yamma-yamma by his people; the other half with people on massage tables supposedly doing the work. No supporting information for the assertions regarding Pearl's technique, little if any "training." Supposedly the room had already "been activated" so "we were already attuned" or some such nonsense. Results? Nothing -- whether "doing" or "receiving." Unlike in many Reiki sharings in which both have taken place. (I am a Usui Reiki Master/Teacher.
The next seminar -- the Reconnection "training" was basically half the room on the tables -- the other half copying the moves shown (if you weren't so far back in the room you could not see the instructor's moves) by his top trainer. Again, the large room was freezing cold! Most of the seminar was "taught" by his prime trainer. Around mid-day he left, and it was stepped down to another trainer to "finish up." At what was supposed to be the end of the seminar, the concluding trainer split everyone into two groups -- those who had "gotten it" and those who "did not." The latter group had to stay on and work with another stepped down group of "trainers." Then after another couple of hours (by this time it was around 7:00 pm and we had been at this process since early that morning) -- some were told that they could leave, others had to remain until they "got it." If they couldn't due to travel schedules, they were told they could "work with a local (if 150 mile distance can be considered local) until they "got it" and could be "certified." (Of course, at an additional fee of $90/session!) Value of the course: $0 (and a bad case of bronchial pneumonia.)Total cost of the 2 seminars, including registration fees, air fare, rental car, hotel, food, etc. -- Over $5,000.00 (plus the earlier $1,200.00). By the way -- to "advance" in the work -- they have other, higher level trainings -- which cost even more! And one final note: His trainers said Pearl's reconnection technique was "not the same as he had been given; that it had been "upgraded" and improved." Wonder Why? Can't Say; don't know! However, I do know that someone else's work can't be trade marked or copyrighted. Reminds one of Big Pharma prefers to manufacture chemicals in the lab -- natural substances from Mother Earth can't be trademarked.
So -- if you want to read almost 90 pages of an incredously outsized ego, or spend a whole lot of money to listen to the same stuff, attend Pearl's seminars or read his book The Reconnection, go for it! If you want to work with a time-proven universal healing energy that has been around since it was first given to Dr Usui in Japan in the 1900s -- go through Level I and II, or possibly also Levels III and IV Reiki attunements, or learn many of the other well-documented energy healing modalities being practiced by dedicated alternative and spiritual healers around the world.
Book Review: Geat book but.....

This book is a great learning tool and you can get going with the Healings but you need to read Matrixenergetics by "Richard Bartlett" then you will have the whole concept. It works for me and will work for you, without going to the class.
