Book Review: Interesting Despite Some Flaws
Summary: 3 Stars
This slim illustrated book is intrinsically interesting despite a number of typographical errors in the first dozen pages and some extraneous padding in the appendices. It contains many interesting pictures of the old and new chancellery and the bunkers, and describes well the topography of the buildings and their fate and present condition. The book could have been enhanced with contemporary and modern site maps of the wider Wilhelmstrasse - Voss Strasse - Potsdamer Platz area. Of value to those who plan a visit to Berlin, a city drenched in modern history, who would like to know more than is easily available on site.
