I have to admit that I've not been a fan of short stories in the past. I've preferred to get into a novel and just savor the journey of reading one story for several days. Since I've enjoyed Maeve Binchy's books for many years, I thought it might be time to try her collection of short stories in The Return Journey.
This is a collection of twenty-one stories. Each story is quite different, but all take the reader into the many different and unpredictable situations that we can experience in life. My favorite stories from the collection are: The Wrong Suitcase, Miss Vogel's Vacation, The Apprenticeship, and The September Letters.
I highly recommend this book. Each story gives a different look at life in all of its many highs and lows!
