Book Reviews of The Satanic Bible

Book Review: A must for anyone into rational/pragmatic religious thought!
Summary: 5 Stars

This book was great, I read it all in one night. It implies Jungian archetypal psychology with a freethinking rational structure, concocting a nicce premium blend of a modern religion. It also clears up any negative grounds with Satanism, and shows LaVey's extroadinary abilities with writing. RIP Anton Szandor LaVey 1933-1997

Book Review: A must for those that seek the truth
Summary: 5 Stars

I am 30 years old, and I read the Satanic Bible when I was 16. Throughout the years, the ideas that Anton LaVey was putting forth have stayed with me. This book made me realize that there were other people that had the same ideas about life and religion that I did. Coming from the "bible belt", it's hard to find anyone who would question the church, for fear of "eternal damnation" and all the other threats that religions make to instill fear in the hearts of the followers. The Satanic Bible helps in the affirm our beliefs, if we believe that the christian faith might be wrong. If you're a die hard religious zealot, don't bother reading it, because you'll just grasp at the unreasonable straws of your false religion anyway.

Book Review: A new religion?
Summary: 4 Stars

Good book. Well writen. Can't seem to understand why everyone thinks it's a religion. A cult, more likely. I mean, to have a religion you gotta have something original/ (or divenly true). To twist things about from christianity.. well, that's a cult. It's still a good read though. I just wanted the above settled.

Book Review: A true cornerstone for the crushing of religion
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a must read for all who believe that mainstream religion's for those minds who've waved bye-bye to reality a long time ago. It has helped changed my life around for a long time to come. However, it isn't for everyone. In fact, I believe that it was only meant for a few. I wouldn't suggest this get in the hands of children. And if you're familiar with Redbeard's "Might is Right," you might recognize a couple of passages from the beginning chapter.

Book Review: A unique look at the world from a courageous individual.
Summary: 4 Stars

While the title and author may may seem to invoke thoughts of demons and devils, this book is definetely not about sacrificing babies and planning to overthrow the world. It is in fact a deep and at times even disturbingly humorous look at the world through the author's eyes. While the title leads you to believe that you hold in your hands the spoken truths of the anti-christ...it is in fact merely a political essay on what Lavey sees wrong with everything in general. However in his defense I will be bold enough to say that almost every thing that he has written about religion, politics, and life in general are all things that many of us have thought and few have actually had the courage to say aloud. His view of Satanism is infact just modified Christianity. I am not a Satanist...but recommend this book for anyone with the courage to face and consider someonelse's view point for the fact that if one man had the courage to speak what he believes despite persecution, then mabye we should take a similar risk and listen to what he has to say.
