Like the well fed horse that wanders a meadow in search of the perfect blade of grass this guy wanders the West in search of the perfect metaphor.He partakes of the mud and the blood, the joy and the pain. He has been there and done that but his parential cushion prevents him from ever truly knowing what it means to "Cowboy Up," let alone do so for the long haul. Still, it is a good read and poignant with the soul of the West. Above all, his description of horses is superb and on the mark even though he generates a lack of respect for his deficiency of personal grit. Then again he is a self confessed dreamer and you can't help but like the guy if for no other reason than the way he writes about horses. Buy the book. It is well worth your time to read it.
