Book Review: A Good Example of Bad Advice.

This book it a complete waste of money if you want good advice. The advice given is very hypocritical and contradictory. An intelligent person would take this book as seriously as The Rules (TM): Time-Tested Secrets for Capturing the Heart of Mr. Right, and it is about as equally liberating. The only worthwhile reason to read this book (and The Rules for that matter)is for a good laugh, if you enjoy irony. Wurtzel said she doesn't always take her own advice, what good is advice that is not taken? I realize she said she doesn't always take her own advice because she is so messed up, and unhappy; so readers of this books could think "oh, ok. If she took her own advice all the time she wouldn't be so messed up and unhappy, I'll take her advice so I won't be so messed up and unhappy.". I think I would have to be desperately messed up and unhappy to consider taking Wurtzel's advice to help resolve any of my problems. Then again, if ever in that situation, maybe I should just "Do Nothing" ;) Basically, this book is counterproductive and counterintuitive.
