Book Review: worthless Summary: 1 Stars
This book was the biggest joke in the world, I mean...what a waste of money. Do yourself a favor, don't buy this and just take my advice...if you want something bad enough or long enough the universe will give it too you... yeah, whatever! I really want a Porcshe GT2, so far the universe hasn't answered me.
Book Review: would be effective for 'negative' personalities Summary: 3 Stars
I have a mixed review on the concept of "The Secret." Overall, this little book will be very effective for those who persist in their daily lives with negative attitudes. However, people like myself who use an optimistic approach to life may not find this book very helpful. It can be a good reminder for everyone to approach life and situations with positive thoughts (energy).
Book Review: would be nice Summary: 3 Stars
I recently finished reading "The Secret" and I think it is kind of a new age spin on "The Power of Positive Thinking." I would like to believe this really works and am putting it to the test. I have doubts though. For example, I don't believe all of the people killed in the Holocaust brought it on themselves as Ms. Byrne implies. Also, I think it is very hard to actually feel like you have something (and this is a must according to Ms. Byrne) when you obviously don't. I can see saying affirmations and visualizing, but really feeling like I already have it, well, that's though to do.
The quotations from philosophers and inventors are very interesting, and I do think positive thinking can really help people attain their desires and be happier in general even if those desires don't manifest themselves. Many people who are in genuinely bad situations or who may have depression have a very difficult time thinking positively on a regular basis.
I found this book to be for the most part insightful, but in some places pretty far out. I did take away the message to put a positive spin on my thinking. Who knows? Maybe I really will get rich, slender, and move into my dreamhouse!
Book Review: wow Summary: 5 Stars
This is a keeper. I have the book and have it on disc. This is remarkable. In some ways this may seem to far out there to be true, but stick with it. I figure what do you have to lose. If this doesn,t bring you what you want at least changing your way of thinking can only gain you staisfaction in your own life. Go for it!
