Book Review: An exciting romp through a magical world...
Summary: 4 Stars
The quality of this book is incredibly immense; books written for the young adult age group hardly ever have me reading from 11:00 PM to 4:00 AM. This novel was not only fun to read but incredibly addicting. Magic, action, depth -- this book has all of that. But it's not without some minor flaws. Everything ends up so peachy and happy at the end -- you get these emotional moments as if a character is departing from the series forever, but, as you soon find out, they aren't. And then you have some things that were written in the previous book, but then completely contridicted in the sequel. In THE LOST YEARS OF MERLIN it is stated that he would never hear his mother's voice again, but (don't worry, it's not a spoiler. [it's pretty clear after reading the summary {you know what I mean}) he totally and completely does. But, as you probably have figured out, these problems are very minor and need not be taken with a grain of salt. So take my advice. Buy this book.
