Book Reviews of The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success: A Pocketbook Guide to Fulfilling Your Dreams (One Hour of Wisdom)Book Review: Inspiring and down to earth Summary: 5 StarsThis book is not for those who expect to be cured, healed or otherwise made perfect merely through purchasing it. As with all self help and spiritual texts, you have to make the changes. Yet, in this simple, straight forward and very honest book, Deepak Chopra encourages very well. He doesn't preach, merely offers sound advice and practical ways which really do work if you put in the time and effort needed to achieve what you really want! He shows how many of life's aims can be realised so much more simply than we usually think.
Book Review: An informative companion Summary: 4 StarsFor me "The Seven Laws" provide a practical and straightforward guide for more effective living. I found the book refreshing and practical. Although Deepak Chopra expresses his ideas in a way that makes it easy for the reader to understand, his message is not the quick fix found in so many books of this type. Our communities and our lives would certainly be richer if we all followed his advice. The inside cover says this is a book you will want to read and refer to again and again. I have found that to be true. Perhaps I just like the idea that success can come from not having to work hard.
Book Review: Great, practical presentation of not-so-original ideas Summary: 4 StarsAlthough the ideas presented in the book are nothing particularly new for those of you who read a lot of these types of books, I liked the simple, almost step-by-step layout of this book. If you want something a bit "meatier" though, I'd recommend Chopra's "How to Know God".
Book Review: Another great book for the Spiritual Path Summary: 5 StarsI am discovering that there are a lot of great books for those on the spiritual journey. My friend sent me this as a 'random act of kindness' and I really appreciate it! It lays out the spiritual laws in a way that makes sense and gives you ideas at the end of each one on how to introduce them into your life - or expand on them. This book can be read in one day and then kept for reference and shared with friends. A line that comes to mind from the book is "success is a journey, not a destination". We can learn to live in and appreciate the moment, look forward to the future, and gain experience from bad times and make them into opportunities.
Book Review: An absolute must for anyone! Summary: 5 StarsEasy to read, easy to understand, and much easier to implement his ideas then you initially think. Just reading it makes you feel better about the world and people around you. My overall feeling after reading: each day brings opportunities to feel better within oneself through simple, logical, back to basics, definitions.
