Book Review: A whole new perspective
Summary: 4 Stars
I thought the author dealt quit effectively with the questions people have of life tragedies and how a "loving creator" could allow them to happen.
I loved "Papa" being portrayed as he/she was. I loved how Jesus and the ever present Sarayu were presented and developed. I loved the relationship that grew between Mack and all of them. I loved how Mack's questions were answered and how he "gave up" his righteous anger and worked through the horrible tragedy with God. He was not "worn down" as described by some critics. Mack's eyes were opened to see the real world which includes the creator of all things.
I loved how truths like "Forgiveness does not mean forgetting, it just means taking your hand off the other persons throat".
So human, so like all of us. The truths uncovered in this story are life changing because they will change how you interact with God. But first you must believe God exists.
