Book Review: A deep but easy read.....will keep you thinking for a long time.
Summary: 5 Stars

I was given this book by one of my home care patients. I read it over the course of one day. I couldnt leave it alone. Another reviewer posted that it portrayed GOD as an Aunt Jemima type. I guess that reviewer didnt read the same book that I did-or didnt get into the book as a work of fiction or something I dont know. The book portrayed GOD as the character in the book needed GOD to be portrayed at the given time. That wont make sense until you read the book. The Shack is a deep but easy read. It touches your soul and makes you think. It is not a true story. But a wonderfully told work of fiction that makes you wonder if it could be true. And then sit back knowingly after you have read it and think to yourself, "you know, I feel like this sometimes". So, in part it is true. You have to read this book. With all the law and judgment in todays world, a refreshing look at relationships and just pure and simple love puts joy in the heart.

Book Review: A life-changing story
Summary: 5 Stars

Recently, I have observed a preponderance of people in Washington DC whose actions I definitely do not like. Of particular note is the President's statement that it is okay to kill unborn babies. (Review, the proposed Freedom of Choice Act - FOCA)

This brings me smack dab in front of Jesus who states "Love your enemies .. Forgive those who hate you".

By the providence of almighty God, I recall a scene in "The Shack" .. between Mack and Our Heavenly Father (represented as a black lady). Here, Mack is asked "do you want me to damn him to Hell?" .. Mack replies "Yes" .. Our Heavenly Father replies "But I want to save him!"

Therefore, as a Christian, I am bound to pray for the President and all Pro-Choice Advocates, pray for their conversion. I must not hate them, I must show my love by praying for the pro-abortionists.

Another life-changing witness is Mother Angelica of the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) who back in the late 1970's publicly admonished Pro-Lifers who picketed Abortion Clinics to the extent, in some cases, of bombing said Clinics.

Mother Angelica said the Pro-Life Movement must not do such heinous acts; rather they must pray for the Abortion doctors and nurses that they see the truth of what they were doing.

Book Review: A mind blowing book on many levels
Summary: 5 Stars

THe Shack by William Young is a novel about a man spending a weekend with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
It miraculously escapes the maudlin and covers deep theological ideas is an interesting way.
I feel it is a MUST read.
