Book Review: Opens us up to experiencing God
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a wonderful book that challenges us in our faith and relationship with God. It is a fascinating story and presents some important challenges and questions. It will get you to examine your relationship with God and hunger to go deeper. I received some profound revelation. I gave a copy to my parents and it opened the door for some amazing conversations.

Book Review: Outstanding!
Summary: 5 Stars

"The Shack" is a breath of fresh air! William P. Young has woven a masterpiece; truly an adventure of the heart! This little book creatively challenged my assumptions and captivated my heart and mind. What an encouragement! Our family read it aloud and thoroughly enjoyed the journey together. A must read!

Book Review: Overall an awesome book
Summary: 5 Stars

As a middle school aged person I thought this book was truly amazing. It was very well written and really could change someone else's life like Mack's life got changed in the book. I also would recommend this to anyone that is going through a rough time in their life and need some encouragement or just want to read a great Christian fiction book to read to better understand GOD.
The author did very well on stating certain problems that Mack was struggling with in a very creative and interesting way. For my life personally, the part that most changed my life was when he met the angel Sophia in the cave. I learned it is important not to judge people and the book helped me realize how much I do judge others on an ongoing basis without realizing it. Now that I know exactly how much I judge others after reading this book, it has helped me a lot in my spiritual journey with GOD.
This book was recommended my mom and my grandma as a must read book. They too stated they were changed through this book. I personally would rather be outside in the fresh air than being inside reading a book, but this was a smooth read that went by quickly. I found that I could not put this book down until I was finished. If you are a Christian and want to read one book this year, this should definitely be it! By: Nick E.

Book Review: Recommended this to EVERYONE I KNOW!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Religion will never, ever, ever be enough to satisfy. Our Heavenly Father is extravagant in His love for us...this book helps answer that (whispered) prayer "God, make this real for me". Enjoy meeting Him again!

Book Review: Revelatory. Insightful. Powerful. Relevant.
Summary: 5 Stars

THE SHACK is a modern day story of a man's search for God and in the process, he finds not only Father, but himself.

Not since Pilgrim's Progress has so much biblical truth been expounded in a modern setting, in today's conversational tone, amidst the chaotic context of our time.

I wasn't prepared for the truth. I expected another feel-good, "relevant", seeker-sensitive narrative to make people feel comfortable wherever they were spiritually. I wasn't prepared for a hard-hitting, gut-kicking story which strikes at the heart of my relationship with God, with my family, with my children. But that is precisely what The Shack delivers.

What "truths" are revealed?

* The nature of personal relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
* The power, freedom and importance of forgiveness
* The power of the spoken word
* The nature of the Trinity
* Our righteousness, inheritance and being in Jesus
* The emptiness of man-made religion including its dry formalities and mere human conventions
* The essence of evil

The nature of evil is the impulse to power over others. The wonder and beauty of Jesus is that he can get infinitely close to someone without powering over them. Same with God and the working of the Holy Spirit.
Deep fundamental truths are explored and explained in this remarkable work.
