Book Reviews of The Sibley Guide to Birds

Book Review: A lot in a small package
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this book to complement my field guides. The Audobon Society tag is almost recommendation in itself and the moderate price is a bonus. It's a little too heavy for the pocket, and a bit large, but flexible and sturdy binding with a wipe-clean cover should protect it in a backpack. Descriptions are easy to understand and the illustrations are crisp and clear. This would be a great book for someone who is becoming more adept at species identification and wants to expand on the information contained in smaller guides. The Easy Bird Guide: Eastern Region: A Quick Identification Guide for All Birders (Falcon Guide)The Easy Bird Guide: Western Region: A Quick Identification Guide for All Birders (A Falcon Guide) I would recommend this book for the beginning and more advanced birder alike.

Book Review: Sibley's Guide to Bird's
Summary: 5 Stars

Excellent pictures of birds. If you are trying to identify them in Flight, there are pictures of the underside that you would see when looking up.

Book Review: good book
Summary: 5 Stars

Nice book, I purchased it on the reviews of others. I have not regretted it. I got it for some information, and found I was using it for other items.

Book Review: Beautiful artwork
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm keeping the book by the window that looks over my bird feeder.

The drawings are beautiful - one could cut out the pages, frame the pictures, and have a home full of beautiful artwork.

Book Review: The Shelby Guide to Birds
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the Best Bird Book on the market for beginers and those of experience. It is visually more complete than other books that I have or seen. It is a must as a birders' companion.
