Book Review: A lot in a small package

I bought this book to complement my field guides. The Audobon Society tag is almost recommendation in itself and the moderate price is a bonus. It's a little too heavy for the pocket, and a bit large, but flexible and sturdy binding with a wipe-clean cover should protect it in a backpack. Descriptions are easy to understand and the illustrations are crisp and clear. This would be a great book for someone who is becoming more adept at species identification and wants to expand on the information contained in smaller guides. I'm keeping the book by the window that looks over my bird feeder.
The drawings are beautiful - one could cut out the pages, frame the pictures, and have a home full of beautiful artwork.

This is the Best Bird Book on the market for beginers and those of experience. It is visually more complete than other books that I have or seen. It is a must as a birders' companion.
