Book Review: My speculation was incorrect! Buy this book!
Summary: 5 Stars
I had never seen the movie when it came out. I never even thought about reading this book until I had an assignment in my English class that required me to read it. I thought that a novel written by a columnist would be stretched out and boring, but I couldn't have been more wrong.
If you have seen the movie and are debating whether or not you should buy the book, you HAVE to buy it. The story is much more interesting when it is told by the author, Steve Lopez.
If you have seen the movie, and you didn't like it, then read this book- it will make up for the time you wasted watching the movie. There is much more detail, much more sympathy, and a better understanding of the characters in the text of this novel.
