Book Review: A Classic...
Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of my all-time favorite books on spirituality (and I have way too many!) Upon awakening I like to start my day by meditating on one of the many stories in this book (he explains how to do this in the introduction). It's really hard to read just one story at a sitting -- which he recommends -- so you might want to just flip through a bunch of stories that catch your eye when you first get it -- I certainly couldn't stop myself from doing this. He was right when he states that the story that is meditated on will leave a "residue" that one carries with them throughout the day. The stories are from diverse spiritual practices -- kind-of a cliche but the stories are like sparkles that all come from the same diamond -- hard to explain but you'll see what I mean. The stories always resonate deep within my heart. My favorite story is "The Salt Doll". Highly recommended book.
