Book Review: Unusual! by C.M. From Annapolis

Anyone who likes a good book and likes to laugh would like The Thing About Georgie by Lisa Graff. Georgie, the main character, is very short (dwarf) and is always being bullied by a girl named Jeanette Wallace, who everyone calls Jeanie the Meanie. The story takes place during Georgie's 4th grade year all around his town. My favorite character was Georgie because he wouldn't let his handicap get in the way of him enjoying life.
Georgie reminds me of my little brother because he can't do some of the stuff I can do. Just like Georgie I have been in a play and I was nervous I wasn't going to do well. That is my text-to-self connection.
I liked The Thing About Georgie because it was funny and didn't let you get bored. My favorite part of the book was the different things the author told you to do. The author gave the reader activities to demonstrate some of the things Georgie could and couldn't do. If I could change something about the book it would be to give Georgie a different nickname like Shorty rather than Dwarf. In my opinion anyone who can read, would like this book even though it is recommended for ages 8-12.
