Book Reviews of The Three R'sBook Review: Natural Learning Jump Off Summary: 5 Stars
If you want to be able to list and check off milestones one by one, this book might not be for you. There might not be any finished product, like a workbook, you can point to and say, "Here, this is how we learned to read." But if you would like to spend more time reading engaging books and less time in front of a math workbook, these books will tell you how. I am so thankful that these books allowed me more time with my daughters, and have fostered a love for learning that surpasses any checklist.
Book Review: Reading, Writing and Arithmetic Summary: 5 Stars
This could easily be my whole curriculum for reading, writing and arithmetic. Great and easy to follow and understand. Ruth Beechick is thorough in her knowledge and as a homeschool mom I appreciate the help.
Book Review: Right to the point Summary: 5 Stars
This book is very detailed and easy to understand and do exercises. There's no over the top, over-complicated method to teach the very basic things of reading and math. I love how the book explains the idea or the goal of the lesson then gives lots of suggestions on how to administer. Great book, highly recommended for home schoolers who need that extra confidence or even for parents of students who attend public/private school and just want some extra help.
Book Review: Simple, and thorough Summary: 5 Stars
Such a small book, yet packed with awesome wisdom. Very simple for first-third grade, yet very complete for basic academics. I wish I had found this book before I committed to a curriculum. It would have saved me quite a bit of money.
