Book Reviews of The Tomb (Adversary Cycle/Repairman Jack)

Book Review: Great book, great series, get started
Summary: 5 Stars

Happened upon this gem at the bookstore. It really seemed like something I might like so I picked it up. I loved it; I've loved the whole series. Tomb introduces Repairman Jack, a man who "fixes" things for people; not sinks and toilets, but situations. Repairman Jack is a man of principle, his own principles. In Tomb, a case of Jack's leads him into a battle against supernatural monsters and evil men. I strongly recommend this series--get started.

Book Review: Silly Predictable Book that has Horrible Sequels
Summary: 3 Stars

A good premise that ends up as a Silly Monster book. Obviously Written for Teens, not scary, good guy wins.

Book Review: Its easy to see why this book has stood the test of time
Summary: 5 Stars

Repairman Jack doesn't fix appliances - he "fixes" situations and people. He's a dangerous, but likeable man, who officially doesn't exist. However, Jack may be getting in over his head when he is asked by his ex-girlfriend to find out why an old lady relative has gone missing. It seems like a minor missing person problem, and not the sort of thing Jack normally deals with. However, Jack is about to find it links in a totally unexpected way to another case of a missing necklace that he is also investigating.

This is a classic thriller-horror novel, and would be enjoyed by anyone who likes those genres. Its also the first book in the Repairman Jack series by this author. Even though this was written in the 1980's its still a good read today, although it has to be said there's no "tomb" in this book, as that was a title imposed upon the author by his publishers apparently.

Book Review: Introduction of Repairman Jack
Summary: 5 Stars

F. Paul Wilson introduces Repairman Jack in this thrilling novel about ancient Asia demons, a secret necklace, revenge and love. Full of likeable characters, action and horror, this is a great entry into a long-lasting Repairman Jack trilogy, which has been running for years. Exciting frompage one to the the very last, this is (in-a-way) a sequel to The Keep (one of the best horror novels ever written). You will enjoy it.

Book Review: Repairman Jack - Has quite a Hook~~
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the first in a series of Jack "The Repairman" and it gets you involved from the start. I like the idea of a vigilante that can "fix" problems that need fixing and has a moral barometer, so he's not just reacting to a situation but thinking it out.

It introduces you to several characters that will be in future stories and that was interesting. It's nice to fill out a character, what makes them tick etc. etc.

I am an ardent Dean Koontz fan, and this right up there with his suspense and interesting character.

I love Jack's sense of humour. I appreciate that there is some leviety in spite of what is taking place, it makes it more believable, as most of us have laughed at inappropriate times to relieve pressure.
