Book Review: Merry Smekday!

I can't believe I haven't written a review of this book already! It became one of my favorite books as soon as I had closed the cover. The only things about it that made me sad were (1) that it was over, and (2) that my daughter, at 20, was too old to be read to!
Yes, the book is a bit irreverent (which bothers me not at all but I know might bother others) but it is incredibly funny and also quite touching. Tip is a wonderful, strong girl character and I just love J. Lo.
And the illustrations, by the author, are also wonderful.
I've made one of my co-workers crazy, constantly telling him to get this book to read to his girls. So instead of bugging him today I'll tell anyone reading this, "Go! Get the book! Read it to your kids! And if you don't have kids, read it to yourself!"
