Book Review: The comedy of non- comic times

This is the most exciting story about the adventures of the new made business man in the mid of 30th last century in Russia. The main hero - Ostap Bender is the enourmous type which combines the most typical features to provide the real character of that adventuros times. Unfortunately his luck wasn't with him at the time he arrived to this world. His genius mind let him to adopt to the new Soviet System, to have dreams and to make them almost come true. Many of his thoughts about life are getting the popular expressions among the readers. The most amazing thing - how authors could keep the comic impression about things even if Ostap didn't succeed in getting to Rio de Janeiro, to walk along the beach in the white trousers. Yes, his goal was about to reach the most romantic place and spend his life being arounded by endless carnaval and wealth. Ilf and Petrov are first who said that might be the Soviet System is not that good. Yes, people adjusted themself but apparenly they had plans which didn't match with System's goals. Ostap is getting trough all difficulties using his fulness. Sometimes the authors are questining what is the next step for Ostap to move on to his dream. And the reader is staying in one line with hero questinning themself what would i do in this situation. The book make aware everyone who touched it and helps to be involved in the story and live it trough with Ostap. Solutions for the most tough situations are so simple and at the same time they are so unexpected. The positive look at the things makes reading enjoyable and challenging in terms of discovering life of far country long tome ago.
