Book Reviews of The Twilight Collection (Twilight)

Book Review: Nice set for, especially for a collector
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. I've been dying to open it and read it as I cannont wait till Christmas. It's still in the package, but I can see it is an excellent value for a set, especially being hardback.

Book Review: AWESOME!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is an amazing set and especially for the price. Everything was great but in the description it said there was tatoos but they werent in the set. So that kinda sucked but was happy with everything else...

Book Review: Interesting but Predictable.
Summary: 3 Stars

I read these books after my sister, age 16- was reading them, and since she never reads I decided to see what it was about. I am not a big fan of Vampire series overall, and I can say that the only ones I can truly recommend to anyone would be Anne Rice's books. But, seeing how this review is for Twilight and how Meyers herself enjoyed Anne Rice, I will mention the numerous crosses between the two series.

The Twilight series was well written, definitely more so than many books I have read. It is also very eye-catching and keeps you hooked from beginning to end. This is not so much because of the storyline itself, but because of the mystery surrounding the Cullen Family themselves. The storyline develops really nicely as well, adding some nice plot twists (although predictable) as they come. But, despite all of this I found a couple points to mention within her books:

Bella is a very very flawed character. I found her more annoying than anyone else in the book, and much of the logic behind Bella's words never made sense. She complained of commitment to marriage but not to leaving her family and becoming a vampire, for example. Secondly, Bella was very predictable and thought with her emotions instead of her brains. She did not care at all about her family or friends, being very hap hazardous in her decisions and choices. In New Moon, she was suicidal- plain and simple. While, on the other hand- Edward seemed perfect and completely IGNORES all her flaws. Edward is a very bland character in this aspect, as his only purpose seems to please Bella and nothing beyond that. On the contrary, Bella pleases only herself and if asked to give up anything she refuses. She's very childlike, but you would think that after all she has been through she would grow throughout the book- in fact she gets worse.

But despite all this, the Twilight Saga was a very good read. I only hope that Meyers can gather up the pieces in the last book and really show us why we have such a horrible narrator through it all, giving us more of a reason to admire Edward and Bella's relationship. At least from my view, it looks more like a teenage fling than real love; both the characters really don't see each other eye to eye as they should and do not seem to truly accept who each other is. Bella, incredibly judgmental about vampires (Cullens are good, everyone else is bad), and Edward, who just forgives Bella for everything and refuses to see what bad decisions she makes.

Book Review: Highly Recommended!
Summary: 5 Stars

I couldn't get enough after the first book. I read all 3 books in 3 days (even with a newborn!). I highly recommend this book!

Book Review: Loved this book!
Summary: 5 Stars

I work for a company that distributes books and this is one of the titles that we carry. I happened to pick it up out of my inventory and then took a look at the reviews on Amazon and decided to give it a try. That was at 8:30 p.m. on a Saturday Night. I figured that it would be some mindless reading that would have me asleep by 10 p.m. 5 hours later, I got up for the first time to look at the clock and actually made a comment to myself that I could not believe I was reading this book at 12:30 a.m.!!! At 3:30 a.m., I had to force myself to put it down so that I could at least get a couple hours of sleep.........force was exactly what it was because I lied there and continued to think about Edward and Bella. If that isn't a true testament to this book, then I don't know what would be.
I slept for 4 hours, got up and finished the book. From my bed, I went to Amazon and ordered the 2nd one as hastily as possible! This is more of a tribute as well, as we get the books free of charge from our company, but I could NOT wait that long - Amazon has them to me in 1 day!!!!
One final note - I said to a friend that this was the kind of love story that made your heart ichy - ichy for the kind of unconditional love that Edward and Bella share. Riveting read..........love it!!!!!!!!
