Book Review: Thankful I came to the dance late
Summary: 5 Stars

In January a co-worker of mine mentioned this book somone had recommended to her called Twilight... I was curious why I hadn't heard of it or the author, and she reminded me it was in the 'young adult' section.....she is 30 and I am over that lol...(ok 42) anyhow she read it, gushed about it so I picked a copy up from amazon....within the first night of reading I went online and ordered New Moon and Eclipse & read them all in a week and pre-ordered Breaking Dawn(I know what I am doing that weekend in August already haha) So I was thankful I hadn't found them when they first came out, the agony of having to wait to read the next one at the time it was published, would have been pure torture! And since then I've turned on many other co-workers, none of them 'young adults' but still pretty great hot mamas in our 20s, 30s and 40s. And we have joined Twilight Moms online, have drooled over every scrap of info. we can find on the upcoming movie in December, anxiously await Twilight Tuesdays where new bits surface about the actors, the series etc. I have to agree with a review about feeling a bit silly reading a book on vampires where its centered in a high school surrounding & then trying to tell someone else 'you really need to read these books, ah yes, they are about vampires and werewolves, but they are so much more than that'....and they give you that look as if to say 'maybe when I get done with my other books'....then they begin to read them as well, and come back to you and say 'wow, I get it now!'.....but that's just it, love is ageless....and addictive! And these books will appeal to anyone who has ever had that great love or is still searching for a soul mate or just believes in the power of love. And as far as one review I read about not letting young girls read this and get all the wrong ideas about love, men and youth....thats the power of reading!! To transport yourself to a place where the world is full of fantasy, dreams and hope...and maybe, just maybe a little bit of Edward or even Jake will be in your future..maybe not forever, but for a small time in your life. I think these books are amazing for a young girl to read...Bella is strong willed and even at 17 knows her own head pretty well and let me tell you, you don't have to be 17 to feel this type of love...it can happen at 40 too! Love these books and can't wait for August and Breaking Dawn but even moreso Midnight Sun (Ms. Meyer-- PLEASE hurry up and finish Edwards book! THATS the one I am waiting for!Loved the excerpt on your website) Thank you for some lovely obsessions! Get the books and read them over and over before the movie in December. And a perfect gift for a young daughter, niece or yourself!

Book Review: GREAT BOOK SERIES
Summary: 5 Stars

Wonderfullly designed characters and environment. Its so complex and there are so many layers and things going on under the main love story between Bella and Edward. My favorite book series ever. The romance is perfectly written and you'll fall in love with the characters. The cullens are an eclectic group of vampires with little sweet bouncy alice to brooding edward. Then there's Jacob who at times you just want to smack and at other times you just want to give a big hug 'cause the poor guy is in a love triangle with Bella and Edward. The story is great and between that and the action and danger Bella and the Cullens and Jacob get into it is a MUST READ!!!
I couldn't put them down I loved every minut of reading these books from cover to cover and I'm a very picky reader. Can't wait for the next one and the movie!!!

Book Review: In love
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm in love with this series. It's created a feeling within me that I have not had in a long time when I've read a book. Stephanie Meyers has brought back the enrapturing writing style.

Book Review: Fabulous!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I loved getting all the goodies that came with the set. I especially love the books. Once I read the first one, I couldn't stop thinking about the books.

If you don't have the books or the special addition of New Moon... or the poster or the body press-on's... I'd say it's definately worth it.

If you're thinking of getting these as a gift, it's a great idea.

Book Review: Best read since Jane Austen
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a Jane Austenite. Vampire book? I don't think so. Harry Potter is as far fetched and fantasy as I go (since I reached the age of 18). I am a __ year old (gulp) mother of a 12 year old girl who told me about these books. Months later, I finally relented and decided to read the first one just to see what was so great about them. I read all three in three days. Then I read them again in 5 days. Then I took my time and read them again in a couple of weeks just to savor every word. I haven't read a book this many times except for Jane Austen's works. I thought to myself, " what are you doing? This is a children's book. It's not a classic piece of literature. Put it down and pull out the Oscar Wilde or something. You're embarrassing yourself" Stephenie Meyer may not have the same subtle wit and finesse of Jane Austen, and may never be considered a classic, but there is something about her writing that captivates. Stephenie says that she did not write these books with a market target in mind (ie. teen to young adult). She wrote them for herself. Since she is in her thirties, I think it is ok to assume that she wrote them for all ages. (I have to tell myself this so I don't feel embarrassed that I have fallen in love with a young adult book, as well as it's characters). Stephenie's main character, Bella is every girl (or woman) who reads her stories. She is funny and very real. She says what you are thinking. She feels how you feel. The hero, Edward, is a little "prince charming" in a vampirish kind of way, and a little flat. However, I have read exerpts from her upcoming book Midnight, which is a rewrite of Twilight from Edward's point of view. This will be the fix, and gives Edward enough depth that every girl (or woman :-) will fall even more in love with him. I want my husband to read these books so he can become more like Edward. (Ha. Fat chance) So whatever your age, 12-? These books are wonderful and extremely fun. I am holding my breath (wink wink)Twilight (Twilight, Book 1) for the fourth book, Breaking Dawn. Thank you Stephenie.
