Book Reviews of The Twits

Book Review: The Twits
Summary: 5 Stars

The Twits has been a favorite of mine for many years, it doesn't matter how old you are. I was glad to find a copy to introduce my 9 year old grand-daughter to the Twits, I know she will love it.

Book Review: The Twits are Real Twits
Summary: 5 Stars

This story is very peculiar. It talks about two twits who live in a small house which has no windows. In case you are wondering what a twit is, they are rude people who don't care about anyone. They act like old wild animals trying to speak. but the only thing is that Mr.Twit has a beard with a whole bunch of old....old....food stuck in it and it is disgusting! You can always see Mrs.Twit because she has black, thick hair that stand out whereever she goes. I really enjoyed this book because of the characters and how funny their characteristics were throughout the story. I really think you should read this book because it's very zany and exciting in parts.

Book Review: The Twits is the best!
Summary: 5 Stars

My kids absolutely wore out their paperback copy of The Twits, reading it so often that I ended up buying a hardcover to save money. I have read it three times myself, and ALWAYS laugh out loud while reading it. This is a short book, but typical of a Roald Dahl book, there is enough goofy humor here to gladden any heart. I always recommend this to people who have young children (particularly boys) with quirky senses of humor. A wonderful read-aloud book that is timeless.

Book Review: The best
Summary: 5 Stars

My 5 1/2 year old loves Roald Dahl books, which we read to him at night. This was a very fast read which kept his interest up. It is hilarious, fast paced, and has very short chapters. It also has a lot of great drawings. Highly highly recommended to anyone who has little, or any age really, kids who like to listen to stories.

Book Review: This family is repulsive
Summary: 5 Stars

This is far and away my favorite Dahl book. Disgustingy selfish and metastatically simpleminded, the TWITS resemble families I have met, and families i wish I could forget.Mostly they are judgmental, small-minded bigots and yet obliviously sure that the only way of looking at the world is THEIRS. Poor things! Wish I could work up some real sympathy for them! Mostly the enjoyment is allowing yourself to hate them, because the bible tells you you must'nt hate, and you feel a bit awful for dissing them, but well, they are the Twits, and they don't have a clue!! Delicious!
