Book Reviews of The Ultimate Weight Solution Food GuideBook Review: "Phil"-anthropy at its best, with FOOD! Summary: 5 StarsI love to eat, and if there's something I love more than to eat, it is to eat and think about Dr. Phil. He has so much advice to give about the proper foods to have in your "pantry" (not pants, that's your dresser) that it is truly "overwhelming" (but in a good way like when a girl looks at you in public). Health is reproached in this book, and it is the "ultimate" solution, so you know by the name obviously it is the last dieting book you will need...except it isn't a DIET so much as a DO-IT, with Dr. Phil as the "wind beneath your wings" shouting encouragement despite his own losing battle with excessive weight and bloating problems. Those who can't do, teach, and Mr. Phil teaches in spades with GUSTO. GET THIS BOOK AND IMPROVE YOUR PANTRY. After all, Oprah.
Book Review: Weight advice from a fat guy??? Summary: 2 StarsThe key to weight loss is simple, don't eat like a fat big.
The reason people are so very fat is that they stuff themselves silly and then sit down and watch TV.
The best advice: get rid of your TV and eat less.
You won't get that good advice from Dr. Phil, and that is the problem.
Book Review: ULTIMATE WEIGHT SOLUTION Worth a Glance Summary: 5 StarsThe ULTIMATE WEIGHT SOLUTION is worth a glance because Phil McGraw does more than repeat the basic rules - eat less, move more. Dr. Phil gives his down-home Texas style twist to the wise adage, "It's not what you're eating, it's what's eating you."
Until you accept and love yourself and the body you have, you will make wrong choices about your health and diet.
Practicing Yoga is an excellent way to use movement and breath to bring your body into energetic balance and begin to accept and love it.
When you love your body with all its imperfections - scars, wrinkles, cellulite, stretch marks and all - you will feed it right, give it plenty of fresh water and air and make sure it has lots of joyous experiences.
My French Canadian grandmother Mimi taught us the secret of good health and beauty decades ago; eat delicious food lovingly prepared in moderation, work hard, be active and do something for others and your community, love and laugh heartily and fill your soul with the "joi de vivre." She lived to her 94th birthday. Mimi read thousands of books over her lifetime, but I never saw her pick up a diet book.
Book Review: pretty good diet plan Summary: 4 Starsthe Rapid start seems easy to follow and the maintenance plan seems easy as well. It is nice and compact and easy to find information within. I recommend it to anyone looking for a diet easy to follow.
Book Review: Subject good but print too small Summary: 3 StarsI just received a copy and, while I haven't had a chance to put the suggestions into practice, I wanted to say that I was disappointed in the format. The print is really too small for me to read comfortably. It would have been much more helpful had it printed in the same way the "Chicken Soup For The Soul" books are, with larger print and better quality pages. So, my advice would be if you have trouble reading because the print is too small, maybe you should consider another type of food guide or check to see if this title can be purchased with larger print.
