Book Review: Highly Recommended!

Having met the author at a Jewish women's retreat and heard her speak, I was intrigued to read this book which I ordered promptly upon returning home. After all, aren't one's writings a reflection of oneself? A window to the author's soul? When an author writes, does she not knowingly or unknowingly reveal pieces of herself; her experiences, her thoughts, beliefs, what she is resolute to express to the world? I was eager to read the work of this spiritually elevated, articulate woman. I was not however, prepared for the ride I would be taken on as I lost myself into the pages of the book. I forgot the world around me and where I was, for I was soon traveling on a mystical journey into the world of Miriam's Well. Time and space converged and ancient times and the present became one. I became immersed in another dimension, where I questioned, more than once, whether I was reading fiction or non-fiction. I know the answer, but months later, I still wonder.
Dr. Elisa Robyn's, The Way of the Well, is unlike any book I have ever read. It is a genre unto itself; a "Must Read" book club selection sure to evoke considerable thought and fascinating discussion. If you're the slightest bit interested in women's mysticism (and what woman isn't?), regardless of your religious persuasions, this book deserves your attention.
