Book Review: Some Good Tips, But Generally Unrealistic
Summary: 2 Stars

This book has some good tips and some sensible actions that anyone can take to alter their eating habits for the better. However, the HcG shots are probably over the top for most of us. Likewise, the sheer quantity of vitamins and supplements including some exotic purchases are simply not realistic for most people. If you could follow the program, it will probably work, but most people will not be able to sustain this program which by default makes it a poor diet.

I can't recommend this book because I think that the decent tips are not sufficient enough to overcome the things a person has to do that are not reasonable.

Book Review: Why pay Kevin Trudeau when you can get it for free?
Summary: 1 Stars

First off, I will admit that I haven't read Kevin's book, but I don't need to. The original manuscript can be had for free. Download it, read it, follow it to the letter and it will work. If you are unfamiliar with hCG then do some research. It is used for many purposes other than for weight loss. It is administered to men with hypogonadism, amongst other things. What you won't find in your research is a recommendation from the AMA (American Murderers Association). They'll tell you it is unsafe even though THOUSANDS of people have followed this diet since the 1950's without a single repercussion except; they lost a LOT of weight and kept it off. My doctor worked with a local compounding pharmacist and together they came up with a transdermal cream that is the real deal. Real hCG and not some herbal look-alike. Transdermal delivery is being used more and more for all kinds of medications that once could only be administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously. I started the A.T. Simeons hCG protocol a week ago. Since then I've gone from 200.2 pounds to 190.6 in 7 days. If you think this is unhealthy, read the manuscript written by a Doctor who over the course of 20 years (TWENTY YEARS) developed this diet with painstaking attention to detail and who never lost a client. On the contrary, his legend only grew and his patients became legion. Kevin Trudeau obviously saw a way to make a fortune by repackaging it and putting his own spin on it. From what I have read and seen by way of video testimonies, his version does work but at a much steeper price. If you can read and follow directions, do it yourself. All you need is a Doctor with an open mind. If all you can get is the injectable kind of hCG, you'll have to pay for it out of your own pocket because your insurance wont. Using insulin syringes and injecting it into your belly fat is not as painful as you might think. I've been a needlephobe since childhood but when I had to administer this to myself for other reasons I learned that insulin needles are virtually painless. If you live in Dallas, call the Abrams Royal pharmacy and ask for Lark Swofford, RPh. She's the originator of a product called MAQ LQ cream or, transdermal hCG. Good luck and good dieting.
Edit: I had to pay for the transdermal cream out of my own pocket, by the way, at a cost of $110. Sound like a lot of money? Add up your total fast food bill for a month and see if it comes close. Mine exceeded that amount by a fair margin. My doctors visit cost $178 but he does not accept insurance of ANY kind. However, this one visit is for a solid hour and not your typical 10 minutes and there are no glances at the wrist watch. If you have a benny card, use it for this purpose. What are you willing to pay for a life changing experience? What are you willing to give up for 30 days out of your life? It's all in the perception.
