review items that I have never used or read. But I feel I need to comment on this. HCG is a very import medication for people with hypopituitarism (little or no pituitary function) and for people (both men and women) with fertility needs. This medication is FDA approved for only these two conditions. I personally have hypopituitarism and need this medication to maintain normal testosterone levels and I'm having a very difficult time getting it because the manufacturer of it has a shortage. So, please stop believing this charlatan's claims that it is a weight-loss cure. It's not, and it's very important to my and other peoples lives. Book Review: It works BUT.....

There are ridiculous claims in these reviews to the effect of the people on this protocol only use weight because of the 500 calorie diet. In a total fast the max weight loss is about 1/2 pound a day, and about 1/3 pound a day on 500 calories. People on this protocol lose an average of a pound a day. On just 500 calories this is virtually impossible. Kevin added some valuable things to the Simeons protocol ie. the teas, but the book is difficult to read because of his rants about the FDA, FTC, Big Pharma, etc. and his overall conspiratorial beliefs. Phase one is absolutely impossible for most people to do. It is VERY expensive, VERY time-consuming, and VERY complicated. The same goes for phases three and four. I also have my doubts that they are necessary. I would suggest you skip this book and read Simeons Pounds and Inches book. You can find the book online for free. If you really want to lose weight, pick up a copy of "BODY FOR LIFE: 12 WEEKS TO MENTAL AND PHYSICAL STRENGTH" by Bob Phillips. I'm currently on his program and it really works!! Trust me. Book Review: Not worth the money I paid for it

I thikn Kevin Trudeau spends more time selling himself in this book than he does on the actual content. For me it was a waste of money. I know others recommend it and I guess it just depends on how a person likes to gain information.
If you really want to know about HCG and how it is helping thousands of individuals lose weight you can join one of the many free Yahoo groups that discuss it and download Dr. Simeon's protocol outlining the diet for free from there.

The book does a good job of explaining the problems with our food and drug industry today. My husband has seen his ads and believes he's just out to make money. I have diabetes and I'm following his advise and feel much better and my diabetes is getting better.
