Book Reviews of The Wheels on the BusBook Review: Every child has to have this book! Summary: 5 Stars
I got this book originally as a baby shower book for my first son. He has loved this book since he was old enough to focus. He still loves it. And even better is that there is a story within a story through the pictures. Every child should have this book!
Book Review: Excellent pop-up book version of the song Summary: 5 Stars
We first saw this book in a kindermusik class this previous winter, and my two-year-old son seemed to enjoy when it was read aloud. We decided to order the book to help our son get into the habit of bedtime stories. Now this is his number one favorite book to have read at bedtime. Our son loves being able to interact with the lyrics as we sing. The book is very durable and has held up well to a lot of abuse. I couldn't recommend this book more.
Book Review: Excellent, Excellent, Excellent! Summary: 5 Stars
Truly an INTERACTIVE book! We were given this book a few months ago and just recently 'dug' it out of the box. I have 3 kids, 17, 13, and 2 and this is the first I'd even seen this book.
My two year old is crazy about it. We just ordered our second copy, as the wheels and winshield wipers were torn out (by my son). We sing the words "the wheels on the bus don't go around any more.. around any more, around any more.. because Ethan tore them out". My son just laughs and laughs at the new words.
The tabs are big enough for him to manipulate. He loves the babies, especially the one with the "plug" (pacifier). We also have to read the last page with the white kitten "WAIT! You forgot this!" over and over.
The details are so much fun to look at over and over.
I am a true believer in books and reading to kids, even older kids still need to be read to. This is an excellent book, one of our favorites, along with "In the Night Kitchen".
Book Review: Excellent- you get to play and sing at the same time! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a wonderful book, with beautiful illustrations. While singing and playing with all of the moving parts, my daughter is learning as well as having fun. This is our favorite book!
Book Review: Fantastic book Summary: 5 Stars
I work in a childcare centre and this book is a favourite throughout the centre for all the age groups, the children love the moving parts, I am buying the book for a second time as it has been read so much I need to replace it, I have had the book for 6 years and the tabs do get a bit worn out but it has lasted very well, mind you this is without having the children operating it, I know for sure that it would not have lasted that long if they were able too. I just tell them that the books I have are special teacher only books and they get very excitied when I bring them out even the babies will sit and listen right through this book and ask for it again, so that has to say something to be able to keep their interest up that long....This book is worth 10 stars!!
