Book Reviews of The Wheels on the Bus

Book Review: Really nice pop-up book
Summary: 5 Stars

This book was a big hit with my friend's son, who was turning two when I gave it to him. I thought the book would be destroyed, but I liked it so much I couldn't resist buying it. He treasured it, and wanted it read to him constantly for months. He's 3 1/2 now and hasn't torn it up yet. I ended up buying it for my nephew's second birthday, and he loves it too.

It's well-made, not cheap like some popups. The happenings on the bus remind me a little of a Richard Scarry book in that you can spend ages looking at what everybody's doing. Most of the characters have tiny ongoing "stories" as the bus journey progresses.

Book Review: Since 10 months our little boy has loved it, he is now 14 months and is still one of his favourites! Sydney - Australia
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a beautifully illustrated book. The moving parts capture young children's / toddlers imaginations along to the tune of "the wheels on the bus...go round and round". The illustrations are full of wonderful images which seem to spring up with new surprises every time...absolutely recommend this book!

Book Review: Stands the tests of interest & durability
Summary: 5 Stars

My children (now 5 and 1) love this book. I purchased it when my son was about 2 and a half and the tabs and flaps are still working after lots of use. (A major plus as well loved books with movable parts often don't hold up to toddler adoration.) Now my daughter is taking her turns too and the "wheels on the bus" still go round as well as the wipers swishing and moms shushing. The illustrations capture attention and really bring to life this popular children's song. With this book they can make the doors on the bus open and shut, etc. with great pleasure. I highly recommend this book for its creativity and durability.

Book Review: The Best!!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

My 22 month old, loves this book. He actually is obsessed with it, demanding "BUS" several times a day. He laughs hysterically at the interactive driver saying 'move on back, move on back" and finds it exciting to spin the wheels on the bus.

Book Review: The Wheels Do Go Round and Round
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a wonderful, working "pop up" book that I bought when it was first released years ago and my children were small (they're now in high school). It was one of their favorite books and was well used to the point that some of the working parts got a little too worn. It was a great way to teach them the song and for them to participate in the process. I bought another copy to replace the original because I liked the book so much.
