Book Reviews of The Witch in Every Woman: Reawakening the Magical Nature of the Feminine to Heal, Protect, Create, and EmpowerBook Review: Not just for the wiccan woman. Summary: 4 StarsLaurie Cabot works towards undoing what 2000+ years of male domination have done to the female psyche. She gives good, practical exercises for re-awakening the magical instincts that women have protectively hidden since before the middle ages. Not just for the wiccan, this book should be required reading for all girls entering young womanhood.
Book Review: Very empowering book for witches and nonwitches alike! Summary: 5 StarsI wasn't quite sure exactly what I was getting into when I bought this book. Amazon was quick in getting it to me and once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. This book teaches women - regardless of their path - just how special and powerful they are. I recommend this book to all, practicing witches and women who are just starting out in search of their own pathway.
Book Review: Entertaining and well intentioned, but not for everyone. Summary: 3 StarsI enjoyed Cabot's book, but I found the stories to be alittle much after awhile. I think that her intentions were good, but I was turned off by her "Cabot Tradition of Science". It was a bit focused on her teachings alone. But any book that empowers women is not bad. It's worth a look.
Book Review: Great book for those new to wicca and celtic myth Summary: 5 StarsAs a solitary practicioner, I have read many of Laurie Cabot's books and enjoyed them all. This book talks about the wicca religion with a focus on women's experience in the religion. This is a really great book for beginners. I would highly recommend any of Laurie Cabot's books. She is an assest to the neo-pagan movement.
Book Review: Bewitching blend of female empowement thru Goddess Tales Summary: 5 StarsI enjoyed this book due to the personal growth meditations fuled by Cabot's storytelling. Some tales explore the Celtic Goddesses and their history while others give you insight on Cabot's own spiritual path, enabling you to learn more about this very special Witch. Above all, this work is supportive to any woman who wants to learn more about herself on a spiritual, emotional, psychological and scientific level. You will also find some old but true magical workings from Cabot, yet will not shy away first time readers. The exercises in this book are creative, rewarding and very inspiring. Cabot portrays the crone gently guiding you through a woman's time of darkness, personal growth and life changes. Her tone is strong, comforting and most importantly, frank. And last but not least, this work is hinted with many traces of life's own experiences!
