Book Reviews of The World According to Clarkson

Book Review: Grow up I ! I think you need to do some of that.......
Summary: 5 Stars

Telling Clarkson to grow up is most definitely an opinion from someone who does not like to listen to someone else's opinion which is mostly quite true. Clarkson's satirising and hyperbolic style to his writing continues through this book as it has done through every piece of writing Clarkson creates. His quite individual style and humour makes this book as good as the rest. If you don't like to hear some one else's opinion and are likely to want to disagree or mumble to your self in disagreement while reading then this is not the book for you. However if you familiar with Clarkson style from the television and from previous books then you will definitely find this book as funny, opinionated and abusing as the rest.

Book Review: Mind Boggling
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is one of the most complicated reads that i have ever come across. You can read it from start to finish in no time at all but you will find it funny, interesting and compelling at the same time. After you have done this you will be wanting to read it again and again just to get some kind of insight into Clarksons madness. The answer to this is, there is none. He is so deep into his own little world or hating everything that moves and breathes that you will completely loose every sence of everything that is good. Have fun cos it is a fun read!!!

Book Review: Clarkson's Classic Humour
Summary: 5 Stars

I just bought this book and read about 3 articles, this is possibly the bitterest outlook on life i have ever read, and have only stopped laughing to write this review. A must buy for everyone who likes a good laugh at all the worldly quirks that are apparent today.

Book Review: It's the Sunday Times Stupid...
Summary: 3 Stars

To a large degree there's no sense in reviewing this book as everybody in the UK knows who Jeremy Clarkson is and what he's got to say. Like marmite you already know if you love him or hate him. I do like him but I'd only give this book three stars because it's not really a book. Instead, it's a collection of edited newspaper columns from a couple of years ago repackaged as a book. Entertaining as it is a lot of the material feels very dated and there is no sense of a narrative flow - it's a very clunky read. A book for the poolside, or perhaps on the toilet - how very Clarkson.

Book Review: Lizzyk
Summary: 4 Stars

This book is rather like reading the Readers Digest. It is very easy to dip into and is great if you want a book to pick up occassionally. To just read it straight through can become a bit tedious. Any viewers of Top Gear will be able to hear Clarkson's voice making his usual sardonic comments. I hate to admit it, but I actually agree with a lot of what he says and obviously share his jaundiced world. It is not the sort of book I would say to someone else you really must read it, but for a light read it is fine.
