I would recommend this book to anybody serious about living healthy and serious about the foods they eat to promote that healthy lifestyle. I don't think you will find a better guide packed full of as much useful information as this guide provides anywhere.
This is a wonderful and must have guide on the worlds healthiest foods loaded with tons of information and very well organized. After I became disappointed when researching the nutritional information on foods for a healthier lifestyle in other books and on the internet I discovered George Mateljan's "the worlds healthiest foods - essential guide for the healthiest way of eating" and to say the least I am extremely pleased. It's everything the name implies and much more.
Each food has it's own story and comes to life in this book. So if there is a food you already like or one you weren't sure about that's in the guide you'll enjoy learning much more about it and all the health benefits it brings you.
If you want to know just about everything there is to know about which foods are the healthiest foods including why they are the healthiest foods, the nutrient values, how to select them, how to prepare them, how to cook them, how to store them, why they should be part of your healthiest way of eating and much much more all in one nicely organized location then this is the book to have on hand.
What I discovered and what I was looking for was the in-depth information I just couldn't seem to find in other places about the foods I need to eat to promote a healthy lifestyle. The nutrient labels don't tell the whole story and other books just tell a few benefits about some foods, but this book tells all about a lot of foods.
A lot of questions were cleared up for me about healthy eating. So if your serious about eating healthy don't pass this book up, it will easily pay for itself in the health benefits you'll gain from learning about the foods in this book.
