Book Reviews of The Wrath of Mulgarath (The Spiderwick Chronicles, Book 5)Book Review: not about spiders Summary: 5 Stars
3 Kids save the Day
This is a book review on the book of Spiderwick The Wrath of Mulgarath, by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi. The story mostly takes place in the town of Spiderwick Estates.
Mom Dad We Are Home!
"Mom dad we are home" is what the main characters said in my book when they got home from school. But there was no answer. Then they ran upstairs, and saw that the place was trashed. And all they found was a little rhyming guy on the table, his name was Hogsqueal. And Hogsqeal told them their parents had been taken by the goblin army of Mulgarath. Then they go to the junk yard where Mulgarath's lair is. And fight for their mom and dad to be free. On the way they fight tons of goblins.
Favorite Book
I loved this book! It was really action packed. I think it is a great book for boys, maybe girls too. I loved this book because you can learn lots of lessons. For example, always go for what you want. And the kids don't care if something seems impossible, they will just do the best they can. They are not scared if it looks like they don't stand a chance against goblins, the will either figure out how to beat them or get out of it. Another thing I like was that when the authors put the pictures on the side, I felt like I was in the book with them.
Lost Someone
I can really relate to the characters in my book because they only lost their parents and found them but I lost my great uncle Lloyd for ever. So if you feel like you have ever lost someone go to the nearest bookshelf and read it.
Read It
If you like to travel to different imaginary places, would be a great book for you
Book Review: My son loves this book Summary: 5 StarsThis book is part of a set that I purchased for my son. He read it in one sitting so I know he enjoyed it. The illustrations are fun.
Book Review: Finale (so far) the best one yet. Summary: 4 StarsHolly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi, The Wrath of Mulgarath (Scholastic, 2004)
And here we are at the conclusion (at least, as I write this-- Holly Black has been hinting there may be more Spiderwick material coming) of the Spiderwick Chronicles, where Black and DiTerlizzi draw together all the threads they've weaved in the previous four books. The Grace kids now have to go up against Mulgarath, the ogre who has caused them so much trouble. Quickly, too-- this book opens moments after the action in The Ironwood Tree, with the kids coming back to Spiderwick and finding the place torn apart, Byron chasing a goblin across the roof, Thimbletack wounded, and their mother missing.
The final book brings back the allies and enemies of the first four, completing the tapestry found in the earlier books and coming to a conclusion that, while unmistakably a conclusion, certainly leaves room for more events in the lives of the Grace clan. *** ½
Book Review: Spiderwick number5 Summary: 5 StarsThe story starts at spiderwick estate.and there was trouble this snake like thing called a Brony that was tangle up with a bird like thing that was flying. So when they reach the ground they got untangle. So when they
got untagle the Brony wen't one way and thebird like thing wen't the other way.
Book Review: Nice Conclusion Summary: 4 StarsJared, Mallory, and Simon Grace are back in the final installment of the Spiderwick Chronicles. It picks up right where the last one left off with the children walking home afraid of how angry their mother will be when she finds out that they were out all night battling Goblins. But when they get home they find the house has been ransacked and their mother kidnapped by the evil Mulgarath himself. They must now figure out how to get into his evil palace and rescue their mother without becoming victims themselves. But they are not sure how to battle the evil monster and the goblins and dragons he has surrounded himself with because Mulgarath has also stolen their great great uncle Arthur's field guide that contains all of the secrets to dealing with creatures from the fairie world. They must rely on their contacts with good creatures including the Elves and their smarts to try to save the day.
This final episode in the series is an exciting and fitting end. Mulgarath is a scary villian and the children prove themselves to be very smart once again. This series is a fantastic short series for young readers interested in fantasy books and expanding their imaginations. Both children and adults will enjoy this book and the others in the series.
